This house was designed for my parent’s land on the North East coast of New Zealand.
Special care was taken to site the house. The plan of a house the fit into the landscape as well as responded to its environment was important.
I used Ecotect software to analyse the performance of the house. The main concern was to see how the house could store passive solar heat throughout the year as well as have natural ventilation.
